Leisure
Each cottage has a private bathroom with a shower, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Air conditioning keeps the room cool. Some units share a small private pool with just one neighbor. The cottages are set in a garden with outdoor furniture and a terrace.
Dining
The on-site restaurant serves African, Grill BBQ, and South African cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free, and vegan options are available. Guests can also use the BBQ facilities or order themed dinner nights. There is a coffee house on site and wine or champagne. If the restaurant doesn't suit, you can self-cater.
Leisure
An outdoor swimming pool with a view and a shallow end is open all year. Pool towels are provided. The lodge arranges game drives, walking tours, and board games. Guests can relax in the garden, sun terrace, or by the outdoor fireplace. Guided safaris to Addo National Park and private lodges are available-Johan, a guide on one trip, shared in-depth knowledge.
Airport Proximity
Hitgeheim Garden Cottages is set 38 km from Uitenhage Railway Station, 36 km from Uitenhage Golf Club, and 73 km from Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport. The property offers a paid airport shuttle service. It's close to Addo National Park, but the lodge itself feels remote-a true escape.
Services
Free WiFi and free parking are included. The concierge can help book tours, exchange currency, or arrange express check-in/out. Luggage storage and private check-in/out are available. Daily housekeeping, laundry, and ironing are offered. Meeting and banquet facilities, soundproof rooms, and 24-hour security add to the stay.
“The setting here is truly spectacular, with the private pools and garden areas providing a remarkably tranquil escape. I found the staff's attentiveness, like an unexpected car wash, particularly noteworthy, adding a thoughtful touch to the stunning views.”
